RIVER RAFTING >> GANGA-ALAKNANDA

Kaudiyala – Shivpuri - Rishkesh ( Ganga)
About 30 kms from the Saint city of Rishikesh on river ganga is the India's most popular- stretch for white water rafting. Between Kaudiyala and shivpuri Alpinestar Holidays has a river side Camp "CAMP A-STAR" just 1 km short of shivpuri pull out point We put the rafts in at kaudiyala and run passes through thickly wooded hills; along the way besides numerous good rapids are two of the rivers best rapids – one famous as the " wall " and other called the " Golf Course ". Which are succeeded by deep tranquil pools. After negotiating the fun filled white waters the run finally terminates at NIM Beach near Laxman Julla.

Rudraprayag – Rishikesh (Alaknanda/Ganga)
Situated at the confluence of the Alaknanda and the Mandakini : the two of the main tributaries of the Ganga. Rudraprayag is known to many as the place where the famous, Jim Corbett shot a man eating Lepoard in 1926. Although no more as thickly wooded as it was once. Rudraprayag is still close enough to Jungles to make it a very charming place and the put in point of an exhilarants bit-demanding river running. After the put in point just above the Confluences the river makes it way through a series of rapids, narrow gorges and quieter stretches, passing through the towers of Srinagar and Deoprayag (confluence of Alakananda and Bhagirathi ).
Further known as "the Ganga ", river reaches Kaudiyala, from where the strech to shivpuri and on to Rishikesh is the most popular one.
The entire river expedition takes about 5 to 6 days depending upon the pace. The most appealing thing about this expedition on " The liquid Highway " is that other then enjoying the adventures of rafting on Indian's best white water, it also presents the opportunity to see the densely forest, Himalayan foothills at close quarters. And to add more flavors this stretch also takes you through the heart of “ Sacred India" with plenty of opportunity to visit old temple on this trip any way you always otherwise – in the holy river.

At Devprayag the Bhagirathi merges with Alaknanda and after that called as “ The Ganga " Beyond this the river become milder till kaudiyala.
